ZK Terms of Use
Beta software
ZK is in beta. It may have bugs, messages may be delayed or lost, and data may be lost. Do not rely on it for critical or emergency communication, and keep backups of your identity and chats.
Your account
Your identity is a cryptographic key on your own device. We have no way to recover your account, reset a backup passphrase, or access your messages. Keeping your device, backup, and passphrase safe is your responsibility.
Acceptable use
- Do not use ZK to harass, threaten, defraud, spread malware, or do anything illegal.
- Do not attack relays or mailboxes or flood them with abnormal traffic.
- Do not work around relay limits (storage and message quotas, 72-hour expiry).
We cannot see message content, so we do not moderate content; we may restrict a PeerID's access to relays we operate in case of technical abuse. Users can block unwanted contacts in the app.
Infrastructure
Relays and mailboxes are provided without an availability guarantee and may change or be temporarily unavailable. Undelivered encrypted messages are deleted after 72 hours.
No warranty
ZK is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
Changes
These terms may change; the current version is always on this page with its date at the top.
